A detached retina isn't planned, but when that occurs, you want someone who can perform that delicate surgery with precision. There are many talented ophthalmologists, but in my opinion, none as knowledgeable, capable, and compassionate as Dr. Joseph Coney. I am extremely thankful that the good Lord sent me to Dr. Coney; he most assuredly is one of my medical blessings. Thank you, Dr. Coney.

I was thankful for Dr. Coney and his staff. They saved my eye sight. They made me feel comfortable and answered my questions and explained what was going on with my eye and that the problem was very fixable. Dr. Coney has told me any time I have a problem in the future with this eye just call and they would get me right away.

Dr. Pendergast has been treating my retinopathy for several years. He has been able to restore my eyesight to near normal function. He has brought me a long way.

Following my Vitrectomy surgery performed by another doctor in the practice I was seen by 3 other physicians in the practice. I had 3 complications from the surgery and was in misery for a month. About 2/3 into my recovery I met Dr. Miller who took the time to listen, sympathize and come up with a plan to relieve much of my discomfort. He took the time to listen and explain everything to me. I rate him as one of the best I have ever encountered in my 67 years as a human.

For vitrectomy surgery I was all prepped for surgery then waited a half hour for him to arrive. I never saw him before or after the surgery only talking with his PA regarding how the surgery went with my husband. Following surgery there were 3 complications which caused major misery. I was bounced from one to another doctor on 6 follow-up appointments. I never felt like he was listening or cared about what I was going through. I wonder if his hastiness caused some complications for me.

I had 2 eye surgeries, which were traumatic for me. Dr. Pendergast, with his soft spoken voice, and confident demeanor put me at ease. Although his office is usually quite busy, he took the time to answer any questions I might have had (no matter how silly or trivial). I never felt rushed out of the office. I would recommend Dr. Pendergast to anyone looking for an ophthalmologist.

I went to Dr. Coney for a detached retina surgery. When I went in, I was legally blind in that eye. When all was said and done, my vision was 20/20. My biggest concern was experience and competency, however, his bedside manner was a bonus. He explained exactly what he was going to do and made me feel comfortable the day of surgery. I also found his staff to be very efficient and pleasant to work with. I would definitely go back to him, should I need surgery again, and highly recommend him.

First visit gave him all details of what was happening, by second visit it was as though first visit did not take place. Post op he couldn't figure out why I was still having problems. Repeated what was told in first visit and he acted like I was speaking a different language. Second post op visit I explained about a visual "floater", he said we would address it, left the room and did not return. On final visit he when I brought up the "floater" he was like, "oh I must have missed something".
