We have had the best of care for our horse here at Retama. Doesn't matter if we take her in to see them or if its a house call, I have been thoroughly impressed with Dr. Lamb, Dr Grose and Katy. The girls that answer the phone are great about the accuracy of a message getting it to the Doctors, the best I have ever had to deal with. Absolutely fantastic place. Everyone at Retama has been so helpful. The employees at the front are very professional, polite and always has a smile. I have never had anyone there treat me like they were better then me or make me feel stupid when I ask a question. They are very helpful and return your call quickly. They are alway on time and normally early when they come to a schedule barn call. Can't say enough of how good everyone is at Retama Equine Hospital.
As a career military family, we have lived with horses in many places. Dr. Keith Huffman at Retama is by far my most favorite and trusted equine vet over my 35+ years of owning and riding horses. He is a straight shooter and his calm demeanor makes working with him a pleasure. Retama is the first place I would recommend for routine equine care, surgery, and emergencies in the San Antonio area.
