Waited outside for a table, which there were many “Open” ones, and finally left after 1:2 hour. I know the food is good, but they seem under staffed, and unable to handle the lunch hour rush!!! No wonder everyone goes up to the Waikele Golf Course for their Japanese Food fix!!!
...worst experience ever! i work in a high standard establishment and to be continuosly asked if we wanted takeout containers, telling us last call on soft drinks and water halfway threw our meal and as time went on still asking us if we wanted refill on soft drinks and water is so rude and uncalled for, please to the owner! please put your staff in the correct hospitality/wait staff training, we live in an aloha state with your establishment showing no aloha!...staff is only waiting for the time to go by so they can leave w... read more

Never fails we sign in we get seated and then it fails .. I ordered from sushi bar cause no one came back to tak our order ... mind we are frequent visitor... the food is good the service is poor... especially no managers on duty just cashier who thinks they are .... And when they have a new crew omg it’s even worse ... but because my baby girl loves there udon we will go back ...
they advertise Butterfish, but it's Waloo, eat a little to much and you will be squirting all night.

Our favorite restaurant for Japanese food. So many combinations to choose from. The Party Boat is awesome if you have 4 people. Wife favorite is the butterfish. My favorite is the shrimp tempura. Daughter likes the sushi here. Son will eat anything and everything.
Our first time at Restaurant Kunio with my Ohana, food and customer service were outstanding. Will be back again!
