The service was very good, the portobello mushroom soup was the best thing ever. I've never had a mushroom soup so flavorful. The chicken sandwich was not as good. The chicken was dry and overcooked, the greens were wilted and there was no kind of sauce or condiment to liven it up except ketchup and a green paste that might have been guacamole? The wine was fabulous. This is the only time we've been..so benefit of the doubt based on the soup. We'd go again and try something else.
I had the pork chop and it was juicy, flavorful and perfectly cooked. Side of potatoe wedges and green beans also very good. Cool little place with lots of history. Maybe a little on the pricey side, but excellent quality.
My husband and I enjoy the environment of the reasturant.. the food is excellent everything we have tried has great flavor and is priced well. I would recommend the Gastrognome to all our friends and family.
Great food. I had the filet mignon and my husband had the bbq rib. Delicious... great atmosphere. Great service. We'll be back again
Literally the best ribeye I've had in years! The fresh baked brown bread was so delicious, I had to go back the next morning to buy a loaf to take home! Great service too! Highly recommended.
Ambience was pleasant, server was cheerful but the sourdough was very heavy and parts were undercooked, our lunch breads were burned and our sons chicken tenders we're over cooked and flavorless. Hoping the cook was just having a bad afternoon since it seemed well liked by others.
