We come up to Idyllwild twice a year and The Gastrognome is a must! Great food, charming atmosphere and smiling faces. If you come to this mountain town come eat here.
We celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary last night with a delicious meal. Service in the past was wonderful..last night our waiter may have been new, but it took forever to get our glasses of wine and water refills. (Others seated after us received their cocktails way ahead of us. Took forever to get out check too. But over all we enjoyed our dinner at atmosphere.
Enjoy their food and enjoy sitting outside on the patio!
This is one of our most favorite restaurants. Try the Pork Chop with Rice Pilaf with Asparagus. The Best! And the ambiance is beautiful especially on a chilly day. It's so nice to sit by the fireplace. Cheyanne is one of sweetest girls who works there. The only opportunity that my husband and I think, is the music. They need to update and play some jazz. It's time for that classical fall asleep music to go. Love love thus restaurant �
What a fun, cute little mountain restaurant! It was our first trip to Idyllwild and we chose the place on a whim. The servers were all so nice & friendly and the food (we had brunch) was delicious. We ate outside on the sunny patio--it was all good!
A favorite for many years. Love the diverse menu. Never had a bad meal there. We always go up for dinner at least once while enjoying our timeshare in Palm Desert. The 90 mile round trip is totally worth it!
