I had an extremely disappointing experience with Arlyce Dawson - Manager of Patient Access at Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital. The Patient Access Manager, Arlyce Dawson exhibited zero empathy and was shockingly rude during my phone conversation. It was clear that she had no interest in assisting a patient or addressing the concerns of a concerned loved one. Horrible Place. Staff do not provide support to children. Nurses are not respectful. Especially David Crowfield on 4 west Unit C. Rooms are very confined and blank and some rooms don’t have bathroom doors. Sink is a sensor and takes multiple attempts to turn on and then you have to make sure you keep your hand so it does not turn off. Staff has to unlock the shower for you because the shower has a key and in some situations, staff may take you to a bed and tie you down. Isn’t that inhumane! At my stay there for the first time, I was misdiagnosed with schizophrenia and had not been experiencing psychotic symptoms like hallucinations, hearing voices, delusions, etc. They overmedicated me on 10mg of Zyprexa per day which caused me to feel emotionless and numb. I tried requesting for the dosage to be lowered, but my doctor would not do it. To this day I feel emotionless in my brain.
