Fantastic food and such a gem to see such a unique cuisine in downtown Mesa. Very personable and friendly service as well.
There are very few rice dishes that I like but I could eat their arroz con pollo every day. Food is fresh and not greasy. El Capitan is my usual go-to but the others sound delicious. And don't leave without dessert! My personal favorite is Ruiz's Pieces- an empanada filled with peanut butter and Nutella.
El Capitán and the Cubana empanadas are amazing. An excellent addition to Mesa's dining options. We will be coming back many times!
Empanada's are great, just like the one's I had in Little Havana in Miami in my youth!!!
I am drinking a beer at desert eagle... And reviewing the delivery menus and i find myself wishing they had a menu for republica empanada as an option for dinner because that would be perfection

Great place to eat!! They even had gluten free options!! Owners are so sweet and friendly! All family owned and operated!

A must eat! Loved the empanadas. My fav: Achiote potato and I loved the rice. Eating my chilled mango slice from my iced tea was the best part. :P
