The trash mafia! Sold our property in the country and moved to the city. They want a copy of the real estate transaction and proof you are moving to an area that they do not provide service. Have to provide 60 days notice as well. They go up every year and will not pick up trash if they can make find an excuse....ground too wet..etc. This is the trash mafia. DO not sign a contract with this devil!
Seriously, read the reviews. If you want to get robbed and have the worst customer service ever, plus extra fees out the wazoo, then Republic is for you. If there was a negative rating option, I'd give them about -1,000. Rude, late, messy, robbers.
Republic is absolutely atrocious! Their customer service process is the most inefficient thing in the world and there is no dedicated sales rep for contractors so trying to get in touch when there is a problem is like trying reach your local representative. The invoicing is a nightmare, especially if you have multiple location and you need to count your lucky stars if they actually service you on the correct days. BEWARE! DO NOT USE REPUBLIC AND ESPECIALLY DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY! The price you are quoted WILL consistently be raised WITHOUT NOTICE! In addition, the Fuel / Environmental Recovery Fee will skyrocket when fuel costs rise and NEVER lower back to a reasonable rate even as fuel costs decrease. This trash man is lazy and rude. He refuses to pick up my trash, I can be standing watching him with my walker and ask if he is going to pick it up. He refuses to acknowledge my presence, and leaves the trash to overflow the can. I still have to pay the same as if he took it, I am billed by the city. I have gone 3 weeks and he doesn’t touch it. I am elderly and uses a walker, iI am unable to bring a full can back from the street. There should be a law!
