My partner and I recently stayed here for the second time and we absolutely loved it. The staff is extremely attentive and hospitable— especially Audra! In addition, the breakfast and food options are delicious and they offer a nice wine tasting happy hour everyday that is free for guests, and they have water stations and a nice seating area when you enter the resort. The Lodge at Sonoma Resort is perfectly located for day trips to the numerous wineries Sonoma has to offer. It is easy to navigate to from SFO (took us 2 hrs on a Thursday afternoon in 4pm traffic to get there and 1 hr on Sunday morning to return). The hotel also has two amazing restaurants on-site that offer really terrific food & wine options at nearly every price point. My husband and I enjoyed our two night stay here at The Lodge thoroughly! As a Gold Elite member of Marriott, early check-in is possible if available, but the staff here made sure there was a room available for us upon our unexpected early arrival. The property is stunning, and we enjoyed the Junior King suite. Just be mindful that the rooms are in their own villa and if you have a second-floor room with a lot of luggage, be prepared for stairs!
