This is the shadiest bank I have ever dealt with. I read over the contract when I initially applied for my $18,000 home improvement loan last year. I also peppered the representative with questions regarding additional principal payments and early payoff penalties. Terrible business. You can't reach a customer service rep. I've tried 5 times! I've emailed and called and I eventually hang up after I've been on hold for 45 minutes. I caught them trying to charge me an additional $*****. Such a small amount Im sure they figured I wouldn't notice. But little do they know I'm an accountant and had everything figured into my payoff. I cannot reach ANYONE to remove this fee.

It seems that EnerBank is proactively working to prevent customers from accessing account information. I have called the customer service line nearly daily over the last two weeks hoping to obtain a payoff amount but have yet to speak with a customer service agent. Voicemails go unanswered. Requests for calls are ignored. Even the directive to visit enerbank.com/feedback does not allow a customer to obtain a customer service email address. WOW !!!!!! I am in the middle of dealing with this company for a $19,000 Home Improvement Loan. I thought I'd look at the BBB Web sight after having around 6-8 calls to them about Loan Payoff and "What's my loan balance". The final disbursement was sent to my contractor yesterday I believe, I called today to pay off the entire balance. ENTIRE !!! And they couldn't actually do it. This company has terrible customer service. When calling a hold time can be any where from 30 minutes to over an hour! The only way to get a response is call, email, and fb messenger. Warning...If you comment on your bad experience on their FB page they will delete it and block you from their page. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! NO STARS!!!

Accidentally put in a couple of checks in my Regions checking account from an account my husband had closed. They charged a bunch of fees but the capper is - Regions closed *my* account WITHOUT TELLING ME. They sent statements in the mail with pictures of the bad checks but no email, no letter no phone call that said anything at all about an account closure.
