Extremely Unprofessional and Unsafe Patient Handling by Regal Medical Group I was admitted to Palomar Hospital in Escondido when I received an unexpected phone call from Kathleen I believe (a case manager) with Regal Medical Group informing me that Palomar was not contracted with them. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They don't return phone calls, people who answer the phone can't answer questions and I have to appeal denied referrals . If you can find another group, my close by dr is part of this group and while I like her I will be looking for another group. It's just not worth the aggravation.
Very low quality service. Refered me to a dermatologist group that couldn't see me for over 2 months. When I requested a different doctor, they referred me to a doctor an hour and a half away. Called customer service, no representative available, they will call ME when someone is available. I asked when, said "hopefully today, but maybe tomorrow!!" Going back to Kaiser at open enrollment!!
This company has absolutely no compassion for the patients. It’s all about their profits. They would not grant a 2nd appeal for my 87 year old mother to stay in a facility that was helping her. She was admitted to Temecula Healthcare Center, a short term nursing facility. She had several serious medical issues. She also needed pain management and extensive physical therapy. Beware choosing Regal for your insurance carrier because they deny everything patients need for basic care and do not pay doctors for services . We have been there for patients in need but have been waiting 2 YEARS for payment.
