not all that – I was expecting a more extavagent place. It is almost leaning toward the non-formal crowd with wood booths and tables. The bar is placed in the middle of the building, with smoke drifting into the nonsmoking area. Blah! I ordered the Mahi Mahi and it was very BLAND. My fish had no flavor but tasted like they haven't cleaned the grill in a year. Skip the fish. The steak was very tender. Some of the best cuts I've had in most restaurants. If you wear a tie, you are overdressed. Valet parking available. Fish,$20,... read more
enough whining about the wait! – The hour wait is nothing compared to the 2.5 hour wait it was when Redstone opened. It goes to show that in spite of the wait, Redstone is good enough that people continue to eat there. You have to know who is dining to avoid the wait: its the western-suburb Yuppie crowd. So go before 7:00 for dinner or after 12:00 for lunch. Go to Sunsets, Champps, Maynard's or any of the other summer hot spots and you'll encounter a similar wait. I agree, they should take reservations (which they do during ... read more
Suckthebill – Suburban nightlife at its worst. Can anyone say boring aristacratic snobbish posers or much simpler champps on steroids.
Love the food..love the service – My husband and I accidently went there for the first time on sunday after the brunch hour. We ussualy very 'loyal' to Wild Fire. But we want to try something new on that day. We were not dress up at all, but the service still great. We ordered wild mushroom soup, and turn out to be the best soup that I ever had. Since we complimented the soup to the manager, believe it or not they gave us a little bit of taste of the shrimp chowder, and it's awesome. The steaks was juicy, the slaw was differ... read more
Best Food and Best Service in Town! – Seven of us celebrated the holidays at Redstone and were more than happy with the food, the service, the music and the people. Thanks Derek! We had a great time! The place looks great for the holidays.
terrific – The Mahi Mahi was out of this world. TOO much food which made for great leftovers. Get there early or you will wait!!
PRETENTIOUS – do you like hanging out with snobs and people who think they're better than you? Go to Redstone!
simply the best – I can't say enough about this restaurant, the service, food and atmosphere was absaloutly perfect. One of the best resaurants I have ever been to. I give it a 10 and would highly recomend attending this fine establishment.
My wife and I were fortunate enough to get a table outside by the fire pit and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of the year. We both ordered specials that were excellent. The service was very good as well. However, we had dined at Redstone before and endured a two-hour wait the first time. They estimated about fifty minutes. Service was mediocre that evening and we had sticker shock over the steak prices. Our second experience was more pleasant on a Sunday afternoon before getting busy. I agree with man... read more
