Go elsewhere – The music is hideously loud, our table wobbled like a seesaw, the drinks... watery and the burger (one of the few things on the menu that didn't say "market rate" was mushy greasy. If you want an poor quality expensive meal in a blaring atmosphere - this is your place. GO TO JAX OR MURRAYS for a nice experience at the same prices
Had better – Pricey. I love mashed potatos, especially flavored mashed potatos, but with the smokey roasted chicken with the smokey roasted vegetables in a rich sauce, the potatos just seemed sickening. Redstone is trying too hard. The natural flavors of the dishes were missing. Came in at aroun 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and they were having a waitstaff meeting out in the front of the restaurant. Thought that was a little tacky considering the "upscale" ambiance the restaurant tries so hard to create
not all that – I was expecting a more extavagent place. It is almost leaning toward the non-formal crowd with wood booths and tables. The bar is placed in the middle of the building, with smoke drifting into the nonsmoking area. Blah! I ordered the Mahi Mahi and it was very BLAND. enough whining about the wait! – The hour wait is nothing compared to the 2.5 hour wait it was when Redstone opened. It goes to show that in spite of the wait, Redstone is good enough that people continue to eat there. You have to know who is dining to avoid the wait: its the western-suburb Yuppie crowd. So go before 7:00 for dinner or after 12:00 for lunch. Go to Sunsets, Champps, Maynard's or any of the other summer hot spots and you'll encounter a similar wait. simply the best – I can't say enough about this restaurant, the service, food and atmosphere was absaloutly perfect. One of the best resaurants I have ever been to. I give it a 10 and would highly recomend attending this fine establishment.
My wife and I were fortunate enough to get a table outside by the fire pit and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of the year. We both ordered specials that were excellent. The service was very good as well. However, we had dined at Redstone before and endured a two-hour wait the first time. They estimated about fifty minutes. Why bother – I dined here once. That was enough. Was told wait would be 45 minutes - turned out to be one hour and fifteen minutes. Service was atrocious, once seated. Steak was over-priced. Have had much higher quality meals for one third of the price. Their signature mashed potatos were cold. Why do restaurants refuse to take reservations - so the GREEDY owners can sell a lot of drinks in the bar - at a higher markup than their food. best Ribs and Martini's – Definately the Best Ribs in town. Ask for the extra side of sauce, its great, just the right mix of hot and zesty. Another favorite is the combo Chicken and Ribs. I usually get the flatbread pizza (dinner) as an apetizer. The bar is high priced - but fair compared to the equalivent of the downtown spots. worth the wait – While the wait on some nights is long, the meal always proves to be worth it. The servings are perfect without feeling stuffed. The food is fabulous and no one presents desserts the way they do at Redstone. I also love the cozy feeling, especially in the Fall/Winter
