TLDR: Do not recommend, would not pay more than $600 to stay here, mainly due to management and the number of shootings that have been present at the location. Disclaimer: For full honesty purposes, I have not been the best tenant (I paid late twice), and I have a very harsh bias towards Redpoint due to past experiences with them. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! Within my 2 1/2 years of staying at this complex we had multiple shootings/threats of violence happen on the property. Specifically at the pool in which the property managers make little to no effort to control/monitor whether actual tenants are using it or outside people. Most people that work for Redpoint are actually very nice and helpful. However, the property managers are extremely dismissive and will take sides when it comes to tenant disagreements. my daughter moved in last year, and she has experienced: roach infestations, shootings, screaming neighbors, preconceived broken appliances, broken AC, and so much more. and then one of the ONLY good parts of redpoint, which is the pool, HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR THE ENTIRE SUMMER. so what exactly have i been paying for? no clue, happy to move her out this week. the handymen are amazing and have helped her out with so many of the problems, but god forbid you tell management, because they’ll either lie or send you to the most unhel... read more
If you are planning to take summer classes, be forewarned! You lease (even though this is advertised as student housing) does not end at the same time classes do. Moving out on a Tuesday during the last week of class before finals is beyond stressful and I would not recommend. Although I have requested an extension, which according to my housing contract I can request one and it needs to be approved by the owner, my request has been denied citing that they need time to clean the townhouses before new residents. if I really could give redpoint Tallahassee 0 stars, I would, I can’t believe I can’t. Upon move in, we noticed there was an incredibly big problem in our kitchen area, as the whole kitchen floor was infested with roaches. I have never dealt with roaches before in my life and upon calling the front office, they informed me their massey exterminating services come only on Thursdays.
