Rusty is an amazing waiter!!! Great sense of humor... Made for an awesome evening! Food was also wonderful veggie "sausage" was delicious.

Amazing, original dishes that will astound even the pickiest gourmet. Shrimp and grits to die for. Oysters from heaven. Home-made pasta and sauces that bring out the best. So many treats, but be sure to leave room for dessert(s). Our large party was seated in a lovely private room, and the service was perfect. We've followed Chef Ethan McKee as he's make his rise around town. Don't miss his latest achievements. Bravo.

We arrived at the table prepared for the first meal of our honeymoon. This place did not disappoint. Beautiful flowers and a handwritten note preceded our introduction to the FABULOUS Rusty! Rusty was delightful with thoughtful recommendations and impeccable attention to detail. Our honeymoon is off to a spectacular start.
Just happened upon Red Star Tavern, and it was a great find. From the Homo Erectus IPA, to the Apple Cider Pork chops and Devil's chocolate cake.... But the highlight! Was most definitely Rusty, our server. After the rudeness we encountered at another restaurant up the street, this place hit the spot on so many levels. Rusty, I will be back when I am in Portland again!! Glad ya' left Baltimore!!
