Red Smoke Barbecue is a bit of an oasis in Greektown, providing a respite from the typical Mediterranean offerings. Check out dishes like Carolina or St. Louis-style ribs, smoked chicken, brisket and pulled pork, or try them all! Rounding out the menu are items like cornbread, fried pickles, sandwiches, coleslaw, mac and cheese and many more. Don't miss out on the creative daily specials which almost always add a contemporary twist to Red Smoke's traditional BBQ.

My department went there for a group dinner and made a reservation ahead of time so we could sit together. We ended adding a few more people and notified the restaurant earlier in the day of our reservation but when we got there they did not have a table ready for us and they said they had a table set up for 15 but because we changed our number of guests they gave our table away instead of adding additional seats. We ended up not sitting together and the wait time for food/drinks was pretty long. They blamed it on not having... read more
REDSMOKE Barbeque did not disappoint. 16 of my closest friends and I, kicked off our newly-formed Supper Club at REDSMOKE Barbeque in Greektown. The restaurant did not disappoint. Our Supper Club hosts had done their homework, so much of our evening went off without a hitch. One entrée arrived late, but the waiter/bartender extraordinaire “Bill” bent over backwards to make things right. I have nothing to complain about. Best bbq in Detroit. That's where I go to eat when I visit Detroit once a year! Don't even bother looking elsewhere.
Awesome food, good prices, alot of food for the money!
The gumbo was outstanding along with the corn muffin. The Beer topped off the whole meal just perfectly! We eat here several times per month....
Me and my husband have been here several times and enjoyed it, we invited friends after the Comedy show at the Fox, and it was disappointment our waitress was uncaring as she rushed through our service, my friends brisket sandwich was cold after sending it back a second time and I bragged about the food, my loaded fries wasn't good because it was like the took the last do the cheese and watered it down and poured it on, but maybe a bad night that's why I gave it a 4, because of previous visits
The Cowboy Rueben sandwich was amazing!! I would totally recommend Red Smoke Barbeque!!
Meat was delicious! Very well smoked and good BBQ sauces. Price isn't bad except for the sides. $3.99 for like maybe 10 steak fries in a small bowl. Skip sides or you will feel ripped off.
Food is fantastic, service was great. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the Detroit area and enjoys some great BBQ!
