The hostess was a buzz kill when we had some last minute reservation changes but i guess that was the rules.. but we went above her and the rest of the staff was most accomedating. The setting was lively. There is also live entertainment downstairs which seemed to be a secret. The food was over-all good. If my party of 11 (i actually stood up to accomedate my family) allowed rules to dictate the eve or gave up at a hostess who had a thirst for power, we would have missed out on a great time. The first time I went there for brunch, the chicken & waffles were BANGIN because they served it with a white gravy. I went there yesterday and it turns out they no longer serve the white gravy. The chicken & waffles is definitely not the same without the white gravy smh. I guess the restaurant Sweet Chicks, now serves the BEST chicken & waffles in NY. #bringbackthegravy
Red Rooster is a Harlem Treasure! Great food, and a great place to perform. I feel that Red Rooster should be registered as a Harlem landmark.
We had an awesome time, Sunday Brunch was screaming but the Monday jam session was off the hook. Food par excellent, shrimp and grits was soooo,good�
The energy in this place was amazing. Every member of the staff we encountered was super friendly and our food and drinks were served amazingly fast. The food was delicious. We had the crab fritters which were packed with crab meat, not a bunch of breading. For our entrees we had the shrimp and grits and the lamb ragu and dumplings.
