Red Robin is well on the way to removing human interaction from it's restaurants. The auto mated ordering and pmt system is to blame. I can see in the future walking in and instead of being greeted, you approach a computer and chose a table that way. It is standard to make guests wait even if the restaurant is empty. Because of this, we decided to dine in the bar. We still waited 45 minuts for food and when we recieved it it was cold and aweful tasting. There are two rather large threads in the Des Moines Community FB page about some extremely poor experiences our local residents have recently had at your restaurant. I encourage you to visit the page and take a look.
Our server Rebecca was awful! After our order was taken we didn't see her again until we were done eating. Our drinks didn't get refilled, after we were done eating and most of the plates were cleared she asked of we wanted a refill.
Onion rings were over cooked, mushroom swiss burger was dry, presed for server waited over 10 minutes for them to show up. When they dropped off the appetizers they went to get plates about 15 minutes before they returned but not because I called the server or did they bring plates. This is without a doubt the worst service and food I have been served by any restaurant fast food or other. Terrible, terrible, terrible. We love red robin and come here since it is so close to our home but the last 3x we went service was horrible. Waited over 40min the last time for 3 appetizers and a kids meal.. food was cold. Then watched a manager argue with another table about how they asked 3x for French fries and never got them... The manager blamed it on the kitchen. THEN some guy (who knew our waitress because the were personal with each other) tried to sell us homemade chapstick... Uhhhh wont be going back sadly.
Just got a burger to go and while the toppings are delicious the burger is over cooked borderline burnt and the fries are SO hard they are almost potato chips.... So disappointed....
Service is lacking and they don't offer unlimited mac n cheese for the kids anymore.
The bacon cheeseburger is amazing and so is the crispy chicken salad!! And everyone knows the fries are delicious!!! Red Robin... #yummmmmmm
