The three stars I gave are for the food and atmosphere alone. The service wasn’t very good. Our server wasn’t very knowledgeable about items on the menu and didn’t suggest any alternatives. My friend unrolled her silveware/napkin and found an already been eaten chicken wing bone. When the owner was told about she just acted indifferent to the situation. First time me & my family have walked out of a restaurant! They were not busy they took our order waited 30 min then they said they misplaced our order so we had to order again. Then waited another 20 min thinking they might bring us something or offer something since they “misplaced” our order. Anyhow no sorry no nothing they just ignored us so we walked out. Have been here several times with my children. Took my 13yo, 2 of her friends and my oldest daughter. My 13yo loves the New Yorker burger. Food was good. Waiter was funny. Lots of personality.
The Red Monkey Tavern is a wonderful restaurant for dates or family meals. The food was unbelievably delicious and a treat for the senses. The ambiance was wonderful. The staff was extremely attentive, friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. Try the off-the-chain reuben and the carrot cake! Unbelievable!!!

Stopped by for lunch and had a great time. The service was excellent and friendly with excellent selection on menu. Definitely a great place to return to.
