I had a deeply frustrating experience with Red Hills Doctors Surgery. When I initially tried to book a phone consultation, I scheduled it over the phone, but it was automatically canceled because I hadn't set up a credit card in the HotDoc app. This crucial detail was never communicated to me, leading to unnecessary delays and frustration. I’ve been a patient of this surgery since 2011, and I have never in my life had such amazing care from a GP surgery. My regular GP is amazing, but every other GP I have seen here has been equally great. The nursing staff and reception staff are also lovely, and it’s awesome having a procedure and treatment room on the premises. It’s also super convenient having pathology right next door. I just can’t say enough good things about Red Hill, and can’t see myself ever going anywhere else for medical care.
I can’t speak highly enough of Dr Jacquie Greaves. She has handled my recent issues with so much care and compassion and truly has made a difficult time so much easier. Thank you Jacquie. All doctors are amazing that I have seen here for me and my daughter, and we have seen at least 4 - Alison Gilmore, Amy Alldis, Alexis Lake. I don’t mind who I can get in with! I do wish there was bulk billing for kids but I’m happy to pay for amazing service.
Doctors are great, I’ve seen a number over the years. My issue is with the gatekeepers (receptionists). Maybe the doctors are hiding behind them but maybe it’s the little bit of power going to their heads. For years both at Red Hill and other practices I’ve been able to get my pathology request emailed. Seems like a win-win to me, I attend half as much so the practice has slot available for really sick people (as opposed to routine prescription refills). Commercially orientated. You are rarely able to schedule a visit in the next few days. More typically, the following week. Receptionists are occasionally not polite.
