Independence Green Apartments in Farmington Hills, MI absolutely no customer service and they do not answer their phone, emails, or texts. You have absolutely no communication with this property owned by JRK Properties in L.A., CA and they are no better the receptionist actually hangs up on you. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional organization. It's like nobody works there. I wouldn't be able to tell you ANYTHING about the apartment complex because I haven't been able to move in. I drive over 600 miles to relocate to Dallas for a job. They called while I was on the road the night before to tell me my unit wasn't ready. They said they didn't know when it will be ready. The manager and staff walked out that we night because when I called the next day the leasing agent said that the manager didn't work there anymore. She quit. Green of hickory trail apartment complex on 8613 old hickory trail in Dallas Texas is not up to code. I'm writing a complaint because I moved in on July 24 of 2020 and have a Infestation is roaches 24/7. I have talked to the property manager about the situation and corporate said there's nothing they can do since I signed the contract

Today I was racially profiled. I was driving home from getting food, I pulled into the complex, and Edgar was standing in front of the complex smoking cigarettes (very unprofessional). He looked at me as I drove in. I parked in the garage, I got out of my car and went straight to the pool. Put down a deposit for a particular apartment. We showed up on our moving day, to be told that apt received water damage. Was told we had to go into a different apt without any change in rent. Manager refused to talk to me on the phone. So unprofessional. We found a different apt in another complex. I tell everyone I know not to rent from them.

This complex takes a $400 deposit when you apply. If the do not accept you, they keep your deposit for 21 BUSINESS DAYS, so basically a complete month. I believe that they are taking all of these deposit fees from all of their holdings and making money on it while they hold it. They basically get to keep thousands of dollars of working capital, which rich people know is how you make more money. They have found a clever and immoral way to make money.
