Great Selection, we went today and bought about 20 big plants
This is a good all-around nursery. Good prices. Good selection. Helpful staff. A good place to start when you want to learn about plants to grow in Austin.
We needed both shade and sun loving plants during our most recent trip to Red Barn and a knowledgeable employee guided us to many beautiful, healthy plants. Definitely worth a trip. Oh, and great sales if you go in the off season. As long as you can keep the plant alive for a couple of months before you can plant it, you can get some great deals!
I am a landscape designer, so every penny counts. I do not shop here very often because their prices are so much higher. I have good luck with Hill Country Landscape at the other end of pond springs. If they do not have it in stock they are usually able to order for me. They are real friendly and helpful
The prices were reasonable on a lot of stuff. My little flowers, for example, were $1.50.

THe prices are higher here than Lowes or Wal-mart but there is more variety and tons more gardening advice to be had. In the fall they offer a fun pumpkin festival.
Good selection of plants
