We are very lucky to have such a creative and excellent coffee shop in Syracuse. Delicious coffees, great food. I love the Westcott area location and have spent many a day studying and writing in one of the comfy chairs. There are many outlets for phones and computers, which is also helpful, and free wifi. I am Deaf and the staff has always been accommodating of me and I have never felt uncomfortable being myself at this location. I don't know why I've never reviewed Recess before! I used to live right around the corner and my roommates and I would frequent Recess for an afternoon study-sesh. Coffee is always delicious, and the baked goods are to die for. And I have to hand it to the owners, a friend of mine and I had a very unfortunate incident with a former employee there, and Jesse and the rest of the staff handled it so professionally and so well. What a great cafe. Such a good community feeling. Asked for a quad expresso, and got.. service with a smile. We went back for soup and samich lunch. Delicious! Best of Syracuse!!!
