Donald H. Reber started Reber Machine and Tool Co., Inc. in 1942. Although he had a successful career as a practicing pharmacist, he saw the potential for a successful machine shop while enjoying a small hobby lathe in his home. During those first few years, it was difficult to buy machinery. By utilizing his knowledge, he was able to barter ideas in exchange for machinery. Before long, the business had grown to require a three-car garage at the back of his home.

I had two axle shafts that needed welded, lathed, and the threads re-cut to a specific thread pattern. They got them done the same day. The axles are no longer available, so they saved my project vehicle. Thank you again Neil. Great customer service!
