The other day I had to bring my beagle Sheena to Reade Street Animal Hospital where I was greeted and met by Dr. Mary Xanthos. It was determined that she needed eye surgery because of a skin tag on her eyelid and actually very close to the eye itself. It was causing my dog great distress. Dr. Xanthos performed the surgery and repaired her eyelid to a standard that you could never tell there was ever anything wrong. That was the most unprofessional, insensitive, animal hospital we ever brought our dog to. My dog was almost dying and she turned us away because they don’t do emergency! What kind of doctor she is. Stay away from this kind of vets who make a lot of money forcing people to do many dangerous for vaccines and selling food, but not helping an animal who was dying!
She is a terrible doctor whose staff is full of idiots. We took oue dog in distress to her and she kicked us out to her money partner at Blue Pearl. Needless to say we did not oblige and went to AMC for proper care and a good result for our pup. Stay away from this charlatan.
Not only is Reade St the BEST -- most loving, most considerate, most respectful -- animal care, it is so reasonable!!! We have had a couple serious scares with our little pup on the gastrointestinal front and are ETERNALLY grateful for the life-saving care we received. Don't be fooled by the Tribeca address, these animal lovers are so down to earth, kind, and accommodating! ���
