I’m in Philly for a few days and whenever I travel I want to try local family owned businesses. Dunkin and the like get enough traffic. Rays is outstanding. They’ve been in business forever and the service, food and coffee explain why. The owner was super sweet to me. The coffee was very good and the dumplings were incredible. Highly recommend.
I don’t even live in Chinatown but I’m making this one of my regular spots. The food and drinks are amazing (esp the dirty chai), and the atmosphere and hospitality are something you really don’t experience too often nowadays. The owners are so sweet and you can tell a lot of effort and love goes into everything on the menu. 10/10

Estaba buscando una experiencia distinta para disfrutar de un café y vaya que si la encontré en este lugar! Es un lugar pequeño, acojedor, y se nota muchisimo que es un negocio familiar, tanto que creo que se excede un poco en la comodidad, no fue agradable ver como el gerente le hablaba a sus empleados y a quien entiendo es su mamá, fue incómodo presenciar esto desde que llegamos; sin embargo, quiero pensar que es algo cultural en lo que mi opinión no alcanza a conocer y esto puede mejorarse 100%.
