The staff was very nice. Dr. Sheppard explained the process thoroughly, did not feel rushed either. And to top it off, the recovery time for the procedure is better than I expected...Yay!!!
Dr. Sheppard and his staff were awesome throughout the initial consultation, the procedure, and the follow up. My heneria repair was successful with less than expected downtime. I wish I had taken care of it earlier. I would definitely recommend this professional staff to everyone. Thanks for taking of me!
Outstanding Surgeon, strong Christian, prayed with us before the surgery, no issues with the surgery - now even enough post-operative pain to need meds, great office staff. Only General Surgeon I will ever use if and when needed. Thank you Dr. Sheppard for everything!!!
Dr Sheppard was very nice. He explained everything to me regarding my surgery.
Less than 3 weeks after laparoscopic cholecystectomy I feel fine. Almost no bruising around the incisions and pain meds not needed by the 4th postoperative day. No long waits at any of the appointments. Office and outpatient surgery staff were helpful, friendly and professional, except for the prayer. Excessive references to religion are a red flag for me but Dr. Sheppard performed the same operation on my wife 10 years ago with excellent results so I do not believe that he is one of many who advertise their "faith"as a mark... read more
My experience with Dr. Sheppard was nothing more than excellent. He is a very kind and professional doctor and I highly recommend him. What I appreciated more than anything was the prayer he said before going into surgery. I knew the Lord was with the both of us and I would be alright. Thank you so very much.
Excellent doctor, caring, personable, everything you would want in a doctor. He takes the time to listen to you and explains things very clearly. After meeting with him, I went into surgery with absolutely no apprehension. He prayed for me and I knew he was trusting God as I do also. I can't say enough good things about this young man.
I cannot praise Dr Sheppard enough. I have had many surgeries over my lifetime but this had to be the least painful! I was suffering with my gallbladder and had a trip to Ireland already booked so I was hesitant to have a surgery one week before. I am so glad I had the surgery , it was such an easy recovery and am going on my trip in a few days. Dr Ray Sheppard Jr and his staff are very friendly compassionate and professional. I am so grateful for them and would highly recommend them.
Trying to schedule minor surgery with Dr. Sheppard because we had used him in the past with great success. I made the initial visit and we discussed the options. I then tried to schedule the surgery based on my work schedule with his staff for Huntsville Hosp. That's when it went sour. Tried working with his staff to schedule it after his staff told me they would discuss it with him. Could not get a call back - only after calling repeatedly and complaining would they return my call. Gave up
