I consulted at least five other doctors before finding Dr. Agarwal, and none of them fully grasped the issue. From the first visit, Dr. Agarwal understood exactly what was going on. He explained the diagnosis and treatment plan in a way that made sense and gave me real confidence moving forward. I feel incredibly lucky to have found him and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for thoughtful, knowledgeable care.
He is very pleasant to talk with and listens to my concerns. He got the surgeon on my first visit which he didn't have to do.
Dr. Agarwal was nice and thorough. However, one of the residents named Alex was not as pleasant and totally fits the stereotype of the narcissistic medical resident. Sometimes Alex gave me vague instructions and then had a noticeably frustrated tone, almost yelling, when I asked for clarification. I even noticed him rolling his eyes while I was speaking with Dr. Agarwal, and his facial expressions were overall judgemental and angry. I had read many great things about Ravi agarwal and found he was the closest jaw surgeon to me that accepted my insurance. I waited almost a year for my appointment and was excited to see him after many failed treatments over 5 years for tmj pain. The staff were very courteous and the guy who did my scans and intake were awesome, however once I seen argawal he first started questioning me on why I was seeing him, stating there were jaw surgeons closer to me I could see.
