Dr. Ravage and his staff are warm, caring and efficient. I feel well cared for and that my time is valued.
About five years ago, I had a detached retina in my left eye. I woke up on a Saturday morning and lost half of my vision. Unfortunately, I had to contact my insurance company and by the time everything was set up for the surgery, it was the following Tuesday and I was scared to death that I was not going to be able to see out of that eye again. If you are like me, anything to do with your eye, particularly the retina, can raise the stress level. Dr. Ravage is very reassuring and understanding. He gets it. He is also no BS... straight and to the point, which helps when you are stressed out with what is going on with your eye! He performed surgery on my eye 7 years ago and I still make a point to make our annual check up... and we live in Arizona now! Couldn't have asked for a better retina specialist.
Following my first visit, I feel my eyes are in good hands with Dr. Ravage. The practice appears to be very well run and comprehensive in understanding your complete medical history.
While in Arizona, I got a detached retina, which my doctor in Arizona reattached. It was time for my wife and I to return to Illinois and I needed to do a one month follow up. I saw Dr Ravage who explained in detail what he saw inside my eyes. He said all looked okay. He also said I will eventually need cataract surgery.
