Rare is an excellent description for this place’s chances of meeting your expectations. Despite a late reservation (8:30), no table available. Literally an empty restaurant and bar. We thought it was closed when we arrived. Maybe we got there after the rush but better run restaurants maintain even a basic level of service throughout. We left after 20 minutes sitting in an dirty empty bar with no service. “Steer” clear from this place if you are hungry or expect an acceptable exchange of your time & $.
What a great experience dining at Rare last night. The food was excellent and so was the service. We had filet mignon that practically melted in your mouth, a couple of delicious sides, hot popovers with some specialty butters. And we topped off the meal with bananas Foster made right at our table. We couldn’t have asked for anything better!
Excellent steakhouse! Courteous, kind staff. Nice atmosphere without being stuffy.
Rare is my absolute favorite restaurant! We have never been disappointed by the food or service!
The food was wonderful, very comfortable warm atmosphere. Our waiter was incredible. The entire experience was a treat!
