Not into beer? That's okay too! We offer wine, cider and liquor as well. Feeling peckish or downright hungry? Great atmosphere, Lucas the bartender was very friendly and very personable. The food was very different but very good. Beers were great. Can't wait to go back.
I guess I'm a Rare Bird because this place is fantastic. I go to places that are "nothen' but fun" and this place is it.
My husband did a Google search for craft beer and Rare Bird was our pick last night. We were very lucky and were able to score a table right away; It is seat yourself (no hostess). Our server was very helpful with beer choices for my husband and my bar order. The food was very original and tasty. My only complaint is the acoustics; it was very noisy and very difficult to carry a conversation with a person across the table. We will go again to sample other menu options. �

Great atmosphere, staff was super nice and can't say enough about the beer and food!!
The atmosphere of Rare Bird was really good! My wife and I liked how they decorated it with old apple crate wood. We went there on Friday night, and Saturday afternoon with Paddle for Pints. Both times the staff was really good. I liked the El Fresherino beer, and we both liked the pretzel sticks with the IPA ground mustard and cheddar ale cheese. Definitely will go back when in Traverse City.
Awesome place!! Fun atmosphere , good beers and great service!! Can't wait to make it back up !
