We had a very frustrating experience with Dr. Nambiar and Amarillo Heart Institute. My mother brought in ER test results that showed a potentially life-threatening heart issue, and Dr. Nambiar did not even bother to look at the report or the CD. He spent about 90 seconds in the room with us, and when we mentioned the possible issue, he remarked that the condition in question was “interesting.” Since it is an issue that can cause sudden death, we found it more concerning. I was dismissed from the practice by certified letter after asking questions. I was told by the office manager that I had 4 approved procedures. After checking with my insurance, I found this to be an outright lie. I underwent first procedure. During procedure alarms went off, doctor suggested they call the distributor of the machine DURING my surgery. Nurse didn't have the number so surgery abruptly ended without completing the procedure. My wife was "dismissed from the practice" because she missed an appointment due to being hospitalized, transferred to a hospital in Dallas, and incapacitated after a life-saving surgery. Office staff refused to take circumstances into account. Literally almost dying, with medical records to back it up, is not as important as keeping your appointment apparently.

Dr. Nabiar left me hanging with a severe heart condition. I have Afib with RVR, I never could get an appointment. I was sent to him after I got out of the CCU Unit. One nurse at his office was very nice Chris. But Sylvia the appointment setter was completely rude. I went in person to try to get my appointment and she was so hateful and to top it off I NEVER got an appt. I went to a new cardiologist immediately. I am warning patients stay away from this office. Your treated like a number.
