Our teenager was in a horrific accident and was taken here by ambulance. The level of care she received exceeded our expectations. Within hours she was taken into surgery and we are so grateful she was brought here. The post-op care has been easy and the original surgeon has been with us all along the way. Our stay here could have been slightly improved but this is a busy hospital, most of the nurses and doctors we dealt with were nothing short of amazing. I took my sick 10 month old baby and ( Amy the front desk) was so rude she declined service as they only take. IEHP Monday to Friday they book us a appointment for today and she did not even want to give me her name she was so rude in-front of everyone and declined to call a charge nurse and give me her name so bad representative.

My child was a trauma transfer from another hospital and we sat in the ER for 13 hours without seeing an attending MD. We were told the trauma MD accepted the transfer and our son would go for surgery after the transfer when we left Encinitas scripps ER by ambulance. The trauma MD at Rady told us he had planned to call the facial surgeon and never did, the attending Dr. Schroeder who never saw our son finally called after several complains after us being there for 6 hours. 7 hours for my 5-year old son to get 5 stitches in his face! I could have driving to a different state and still received faster quality service.
