Like many people have mentioned before, I’m also being contacted by collections even though I’ve never even been there!
Incompetent billing department, got a phone call from collections A YEAR after service saying that insurance wouldn't pay and that they're past the time of being able to submit a claim so I'm responsible for the bill. Meanwhile they never called me in that entire year because as it turns out, they had my son's name completely wrong because they used the Birth Name assigned by the hospital, not the legal name and never called to clarify. I went for a mammogram and ultrasound back in May of this year at Solis Mammography | Memorial Hospital West and was told the ultrasound would not be covered by insurance which I knew ahead and paid out of pocket. The mammogram though should have been covered by my insurance. It was my understanding that they (Memorial West) would submit it to my insurance but now (November) I received a letter from a collection company saying I have an over due account with Radiology Associates of Hollywood.
