Radio Room, thank you so much for having gluten free options that are on the menu so I don't have to drive the server and kitchen mad with my questions. Excellent wings and tacos :) So happy that I never have to worry and know exactly what I can eat.
BAD SVC, PRETTY GOOD FOOD – So I have been here 3 times, twice for brunch/lunch and the first time was for happy hour. The food is pretty good and the prices are decent, they even have a good selection. However, EVERY TIME I GO the service sucks! Not sure what is going on or if they are understaffed but the service is never good. Slow w/the food and slow w/the service. I asked for something after we got our food and since it never came I just got up and got it myself. Not sure what's going on here, is everyone else just a lo... read more
not so good lads! – I've never written a review but feel I need to after this experience. Dirty wine glass. The last persons prints/crust. wobbly table. no biggie. I ordered a beet salad. Cold, bland, boring. plus a whole lotta horseradish I wasn't expecting. I took a bite, thought it was goat cheese. Nope. Mouth full of horseradish. Chicken, so dry I thought I was being picky so I tested it on my husband. (He'll eat anything) He was chewing for a couple of minutes and laughing. Anyway, maybe their cocktails are good. But th... read more
Great Disappointment – We always enjoy taking our daughter out for dinner when we come to Portland. Not this time! The Radio Room was very noisy and cold. The music was way too loud and the service was awful. We ordered the specials. The clam chowder was cold and thickened with to much flour. The chicken plate was tasteless as well as cold and the potatoes were inedible. Even the flatware was not clean. We won't go back.
Nifty Spot with Great Patio! – This bar/restaurant used to be a gas station and the owners have done a great job converting it. The decor is fun and campy and the view from the upper patio is beautiful. I watched the sun set while drinking a martini up there and I was one happy camper! The Radio Room is also a center for the general creative culture that is establishing itself on Alberta. Last summer I met Wayne Coin of the Flaming Lips there! Check out their Sunday brunch! Oh, and I have never received bad service there eit... read more
ok food bad service – The food was just ok. The service was awful. I'll try it one more time and then that's it.
Great Addition to Alberta – As a neighborhood resident and regular at the Bye and Bye next door, I was reluctant at first to check out the Radio Room. I usually like to wait a year or so until a place has been broken in before I give it a try, and the radio room still looked a bit new. Well a few months ago, I went to the B&B to discover to my horror that they were closed for maintenance or something like that. Needing a drink more than ever, I decided to check out the RR. I am glad I did. It is fairly large space but divide... read more
Worst HH in PDX – I recently went to Radio Room to try their HH. It was awful. We had four items and every one of them was bad. To make matters worse, when we told the server the wings were dry they charged us for a side of sauce. The wings are served with dry bread as an accompaniment instead of a vegetable with no sauce. I guess charging for the sauce is a way to rake in a few extra dollars. The decor is a mess of fifties diner, sixties lighting and nineties concrete. I had high hopes for this place as I watched it being b... read more
really lame attitude at bar – recently went to rr for happy hour & got attitude from the manager of all people behind the bar. I'm a neighbor who lives on their block & hoped ot have it be a friendly spot that we could frquent, but when I went into the bar to have a few beers with a few friends the staff was really rude and unprofessional. the really need to consider how they come off when the economy is low and they are serving.
