7 years ago I had bunion surgery along with hammer toe repair. The hammer toe should have been a simple procedure. Immediately after the surgery it was obvious that the hammer toe stitches on the top of the toe were odd and had a strange overlap. Dr R said he had tried something new during surgery. Yikes! I wish he hadn’t! As the toe healed the stitches on the toe healed but created a significant scar in addition to a malformed nail on the toe. Bunion is fine but unhappy with an ugly hammer toe.
I would strongly caution anyone against seeking care from Dr. Raczka. When I was 17, he performed a bunionectomy on me, during which he asked if colleagues could observe the surgery. Naive and trusting, I agreed. What followed was a nightmare that drastically altered the course of my life. After the surgery, my foot was in excruciating pain, with the incision oozing and showing clear signs of trouble. 16 years later, my feet are still great! Dr. Raczka performed multiple surgeries to restore my ability to walk. Highly recommended!
Been holding off on reviews but not anymore. Moved to the area and went to see him about my foot. Stated I needed surgery and was hesitant but went for it. THIS MAN DAMAGED MY FOOT EVEN MORE. Now I have to find someone who can fix his mistakes. I’m in constant pain and hope I can recover from this. PLEASE AVOID THIS MAN.
