Dr. Oates and her team are hands down THE BEST in middle Tennessee!! Several years ago my dentist (who my family & I loved) was retiring. I printed her a list of all the Dentists that my insurance took- looking for her recommendation. Out of SEVERAL pages of options, Dr. Oates was literally the ONLY Dentist she recommended! Rachel Oates Family Dental is truly the best dentist office there is! The front desk staff is always smiling to greet you. My hygienist, Terri, is super sweet and takes the time to explain what she’s doing. The doctors are all great, but Rachel is just an amazing dentist who is not interested in making as much money as she can, but truly cares about her patients. I can’t say enough good things about this practice.
I never like giving a poor review but our experience should be a lesson of caution. My husband and I were both patients at this practice before relocating out of state. We received a quote for work that was being recommended for my husband that outlined what would be covered by insurance. In the end, it was not accurate and when we received a bill much higher than expected. We contacted the office to discuss the discrepancy in what was quoted and what was billed. Very unprofessional place. They were approved on my provider list but then the next time I came they were not. Nobody from the office informed me. I got charged full price for an annual cleaning. You think they would have given me the same rate since they were the ones who failed to do their job.
