I was there with my daugther Friday, she had be vomiting since tuesday and having stomach pains around her belly button. NP never really examined her blood work, Ct scan was done, showed she was dehydrated they gave her fluids then put us in a second waiting room, along with other patients.(HIPAA) dont think they know what that is. NP came back to tell us she has a virus and nothing else can be done. I’m sitting in this place as we speak, let me say one thing I will never ever be back at this hospital again! I’ve been here 6 hours sitting in a chair with my daughter that I have no clue what is wrong with her, we have sat in this hallway for 6 hours while they done her IV, gave meds, and so forth. I asked when we were going to get a room after sitting here waiting and waiting for test results ultrasound blood work and CT scan and they told me we don’t get a room because we are not having surgery or getting stitches!! RecommendedI was in rapides parish at the rapides hospital April of 2015 and y'all did a hell of a jobI have 5 mini strokes andI found out I have blood clots behind the heart I recommend talk to anybody especially my family you have a good doctor especially on the 4th floor the nurses kept me laughing they made sure I was in good health and good spirits. did a good job that's why I love y'all hospital

waited in er for over 3 hours with my very sick husband. was finally called to the back to be put up against the wall in a chair where we sat for 2 hours . meanwhile nurses are fussing about being short handed , all the while she’s on her phone showing pics of her kids hair and halloween costumes . then proceeded to stand in one spot on her phone scrolling through stuff for a good 15 min. finally had enough and left when a heroin overdose came in and she had the nerve to say we don’t have a bed put him against the wall . the... read more
I’m in ER with my daughter in law. They gave her medicine and sent her to the internal waiting room telling her to relax. This is filthy!!! TV blaring the LSU game for nurses and it STINKS!! Please look at pictures...does this look relaxing? I did not take pictures of people that were in the waiting room.
RecommendedI love the care and concern given by the staff in my most recent experiences with RWCH for my grandchildren! I know too well what it takes to give that kind of care as a recently retired RN, especially when caring for our most precious gifts from God!
