I have never written a review of a company before, but feel obligated to do so. RS miles did our roof 10 years ago. Beginning a few years ago began to have problems with one section, with now a third episode of shingles coming off the roof. And now water damage to the ceiling in that area. Our contract has a "Lifetime warranty for labor and materials." RS miles did not return my calls for more than a month. I hired Rob Miles based on a referral to handle repairs for an insurance claim after a tree fell on my house. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. The project took over a year to complete, far longer than expected, and throughout the process, the contractor was unreliable. Despite being paid in full, I am still waiting for an itemized invoice detailing the work performed. Everything seemed fine when they put the roof on, but ever since when I've had issues, getting them to come out was like pulling teeth. I gave up on RS and I got another roofer to come out and now I'm paying thousands to remediate the poor work RS did. They: pinched the electrical wiring between the rafters and subfloor in the attic; blamed a leak on the stucco firewall (i.e. not their problem) when it was really the flashing; and didn't ensure proper ventilation in the attic so mold grew after getting a brand new roof with ... read more
