3 stars is the average for two services: a haircut (5 stars) and a balayage color service (1 star). This is a review for both the haircut and color job (balayage). 5 start for the haircut, which was a simple cleanup on ends and layers to break up the bulk on my curly hair (needed to trim off enough to get rid of the triangle shape forming). The color job…1 star. I went in with a reference image, which was a balayage with more of a melt effect from black roots. Redd is amazing. If you have curly hair like me, RUN - don't walk - to her salon. In our first appointment she said, "Okay, we're going to set your curls free" and she wasn't kidding. I wanted layers, but I really did not want a shag cut... I brought in a couple inspo photos but I was still a littler nervous about how the shape would turn out. Redd is a hair whisperer. I met her 6 years ago. I have had a big head of curly hair my entire life and have tried everything. Curly hair cutters, curly hair products.
