DeWitt Animal Hospital Okay DeWitt Animal Hospital, in my experience, is a business-like but competent facility. The receptionist is helpful but not friendly. Dr. Wilcox seems knowledgeable, professional and a little distant; he surely doesn't hate dogs. The vet tech is kind and friendly. The boarding facility is small but clean. I have no trouble with them acting as a holding facility for strays; if the strays are not claimed, then it is better that they be humanely euthanized than suffer on the streets. I always liked Dewitt Animal Hospital I have read these reviews and cannot understand the negative ones...Years ago my family brought our dog and cats to Dr. Quinn...he was excellent. When he partly retired and Dr. Wilcox became the main vet it didn't change much...our animals were still taken care of humanely and properly. I did have to put my dog, Benji, asleep (she was 20 years old, blind, mostly deaf, incontinent, constantly falling down the stairs). Dr. Wilcox was very professional and very understanding. Thank you all for helping ‎‎ – Dear Dewitt Animal Hospital, Jack is doing great!!! His life is a very happy one today, he visits his Dad's flower shop each day and enjoys visiting the customers. He is gaining some pounds and has made a few visits to his new doctor, who just loves him. We are sending you folks Jack's Neuter Certificate. He's a very happy boy now. Thank you all for helping Jack while he spent his days with you all. We are giving Jack much love and a great life!

Caring and professional. – I have been affiliated with Dewitt Animal Hospital all my life. My Mother went to school with the original owner (Junior High), Harry Halsel, and started going to his original place on Gifford St., then onto Dewitt when he opened this one. Also, it is in close proximity to where I live now. We have always found the services, staff and atmosphere to our liking. I have found them to be very caring as well as professional.

I have been a client for nearly fourty years! – I have been a client of Dewitt Animal Hospital for nearly forty years! Needless to say, I trust Dr. Quinn and Dr. Wilcox completely to provide the best of care for he well-being of my pets. I am also appreciative of the respect they show to my precious pets.

Dr. Wilcox has been our vet for many years now and has always demonstrated not just great knowledge but also genuine caring for our pets. He always goes an extra mile by suggesting tests when he is concerned about a potential problem. He immediately calls when the results are in and carefully explains the outcome and suggests appropriate follow-up. He is very friendly and I feel that he truly cares about our beloved pets. The same is true of his staff: they are, without exception, very friendly and very efficient.

Caring and compassionate – I feel that the staff is caring an compassionate. Dr. Wilcox has worked hard to my dog (Ed III) the best possible care. they have helped me after hours and on Sundays. This is the only place that I would bring my dog that has special needs. Dr. Wilcox always calls me back to answer my questions. I feel confident with the Dr.'s advice. This is why I will drive from Camillus to Dewitt for care

The staff is always pleasant‎‎ – When I think of DeWitt Animal Hospital I remember the fine care received there by many pets, all 13 poodles, standard and miniature. The staff is always pleasant, polite, and professional. They allow for special circumstances such as letting my dog enter through the hall door rather than the waiting room full of dogs. I have been going to DeWitt Animal Hospital for over 25 years, both for my dogs and my cats. The staff has always been compassionate and caring for my animals and my situations. I always recommend the DeWitt Animal Hospital to people I know who are looking for a veterinary hospital either because they are new to the area or because they are unsatisfied with their current vet. - Barbara
