This underground tour is not to be missed when in Bisbee. If I have any criticism it is that the guide ( a former miner ) was hard to hear at times. Our tour was FULL, so each stop proved a bit hard to hear if at the back of the crowd. Guides were very knowledgeable and had keen senses of humour, making the whole experience a lot of fun. These guys worked very hard in the mine for not a lot of money, so I guess a good sense of humour went a long way to easing burdens.
Excellent tour. Very fun and educational. Tour guides are retired miners so they can answer any questions.
Super fun! Our kids loved it and this tour was the highlight of our Thanksgiving break.
The Copper Queen Mine Tour is led by retired miners who knew the operation well. They are humorous and knowledgeable and highly entertaining. We get to see how it was done and you really get a feel for how hard this work was. I have been several times and I will go again.
