The Queen Mary Tea Room has been tradition in my family for years & years & years! Many celebrations have taken place at QM. The atmosphere, selections, presentation are all beyond excellent! Chicken Pot Pie & Strawberry Angel Food cake are favorites in addition to the exceptionally amazing Afternoon High Tea!
I can't even express how much fun my sister and I had here! LOVED every minute. The food was to die for! The service was amazing and attentive. Couldn't have ask for a better afternoon!
Was hired here and asked to remove all my piercings, cover any tattoos and dye my hair a natural color or cover it constantly. (I have a nostril and septum ring, and my hair was dark purple at the time. I was hired. Then told I'd have to become a different person to keep the job.) If you are goth/alternative/trans/queer/visually different you will be discriminated against here. Yes, they will gladly allow you to spend your money here, but know that if you are different: you do not have a friend in Mary.

Great great Tea House celebrated my 77 birthday. It was awesome
I love this place for all of the obvious reasons, however I do not love the attitude of the staff towards the patrons. I hosted an event and they announced that everyone would be having the afternoon tea ($37). When I booked it they said everyone would need to order a meal or the tea. Also, there were 14 of us and when they brought the bill they announced that they would only take 4 credit cards. The experience is great, the staff is less so
