Great Food & Prices ! We just tried the Quarter View for the first time and it was great ! We started out with the Eggplant Sticks and Onion Rings and both were wonderful. Loved the batter on the Onion Rings and they were fried perfectly. We had the Stuffed Trout and it was amazing, the sauce was seasoned just right and there was loads of crabmeat. REAL New Orleans food, Low prices This place is a great place to take out-of-town guests- it's New Orleans style food is true to it's name, not just pepper and cayenne sauce these guys know how to season to perfection. Their portions are HUGE and their prices are low! They tend to be a bit slow- don't go on your lunch hour or if you're on a tight schedule and they are usually crowded during peak hours. Parking is the biggest problem because there are maybe 10 parking spaces in the lot.
TOTALLY DISGUSTED!!! We ate there last night. We ordered eight pounds of $3.99/lb boiled crawfish. They came out looking more gray than red (just scalded maybe and not boiled???) and even tasted more scalded than boiled. SUCH A LET DOWN!!! They had lots of pepper but NO salt. Great value I eat at QV [at least] twice a month and, sure, I could find something to complain about at nearly every restaurant in town. Since this is an overall review, I will sum up my opinion; You cannot beat the overall dining experince. The portions are huge. We usually go with a party of 5 or 6, and everyone brings home enough for another meal, if not more. hungryone 3/29/11 Family of 3 waited almost 10 minutes for our order to be taken or to even be acknowledged by a server. We ordered chees stick for an appitizer and two of the entrees came with a dinner salad. The caesar dressing on the salad was tart and the marinara sauce was bland but very chunky. Customer service? No customer service at all. The food was good but the staff leaves alot to be desired. I will not be returning anytime soon.
Quarter View Experience 12/30/10 We went to the Quarter View last night (12/30/10) and even though it was packed, we were seated right away. The first thing we noticed was that it was VERY loud and very cold, but it's NO, so loud is not a bad thing.
not a good experience We went to quaterview on friday 11/06/10 and I did not enjoy the food or the service my daughter and I had the seafaood platter and the only thing I liked on the platter was the stuff crab and my daughter did'nt like any of it.And to add insult to injury on the bill I only added a 10.00 tip because of the experience checked my card and the tip was 8 extra dollars I'm in the process of finding out who authorized 8 extra dollars.My other daughter had the crawfish pasta and she said it was okay,I purschase... read more
AMAZING! Quarter View is absolutely my favorite restaurant!!! These bad reviews are shocking. I will admit the boiled crawfish are not very tasty but the regular food menu is delicious! The servers are usually friendly and make you feel right at home. The stuffing they use for all seafood seems like it is made from scratch and the steak is sooooo tender! Very fresh seafood platters. I am shocked to see so many bad reviews. With a party larger than 6, I am sure ANY restaurant would not have 100% efficient service.
