Outraged Last night, 11/14/08, my family, a group of 19 people went to Quarterview Restaurant for dinner.We were told that the wait was 20 minutes (turned into an hour). The food was average and toward the end of the meal, a waitress (not ours) spilled several plates of ketchup and mayonnaise on my sister's lap and a moderate amount on the sleeve of her workshirt as she passed our table. Horrible Service and Aweful Managers Our waitress (Lindsey) was too busy socializing with other patrons and drinking a Smoothie behind the bar to wait on us. We had to ask for our drinks, an appetizer, and even part of the meal we ordered. After requesting another glass of water, a fly was found in my straw. incredible place, wonderful food - in quantity I've been there twice at about 8 months interval. I'm from Virginia and have come to N.O. on mission trips. Quarter View was recommended by an elevator repairman at the Salvation Army HQ where we were staying. Is that a good recommendation? I'll say it is. He said it was down home and real New Orleans food. I'll say it was friendly, a little raucous, and fabulous. If you are not local, don't pass up the fried pickles. Sounds strange, tastes great. not a good experience We went to quaterview on friday 11/06/10 and I did not enjoy the food or the service my daughter and I had the seafaood platter and the only thing I liked on the platter was the stuff crab and my daughter did'nt like any of it.And to add insult to injury on the bill I only added a 10.00 tip because of the experience checked my card and the tip was 8 extra dollars I'm in the process of finding out who authorized 8 extra dollars.My other daughter had the crawfish pasta and she said it was okay,I purschase... read more
Service and ambiance was great unfortunately the crawfish was terrible. My wife and I ordered 10 lbs of crawfish, they looked great but it was soon apparent they had been boiled hours before they served them. They were extremely dry and over cooked. Many were cold and at least 5 had gone bad to the point they initiated my gag reflex. Quarter View Experience 12/30/10 We went to the Quarter View last night (12/30/10) and even though it was packed, we were seated right away. The first thing we noticed was that it was VERY loud and very cold, but it's NO, so loud is not a bad thing. We tried QV because their lighted marquee-type sign said lobster $12.95. On the way in, we made sure that we saw other banner-type signs stating that they had lobster for $12.95 on Thursday nights. Excellent! Had a great time! My family and I recently visited quarter view and it was amazing! our server was Melissa G. she is an outstanding waitress. She made us feel at home, over all the food was great and we do recommend everyone to check it out!
Quarter View Boiled Crayfish Old and Rotten I recently visited Quarter View Restaurant in Metairie for an evening meal. The service was good; the fried seafood was delicious; however, the boiled crayfish was terrible...It tasted rotten. I had to spit it out....
TOTALLY DISGUSTED!!! We ate there last night. We ordered eight pounds of $3.99/lb boiled crawfish. They came out looking more gray than red (just scalded maybe and not boiled???) and even tasted more scalded than boiled. SUCH A LET DOWN!!! They had lots of pepper but NO salt. Also ordered a burger, spaghetti & sauce, and mashed potatoes for the kids. Burger was a frozen patty but my grandbaby was happy with it. Spaghetti and sauce was best thing we ordered!
