Awesome atmosphere great food
Exceptional food, great service, a hidden gem if your not from Mason City. Unique history adds to your experience. Don't pass up the opportunity to visit this establishment.
Food & service were very good for a group of 25. Waiter even came outside & took pictures for us - 80th birthday celebration with whole family present. Wonderful memories!!!
My companion had the sirloin benedict, with garlic potatoes (cold), asparagus, & salad. The steak was over done for med. & the poached egg was over cooked. He said steak tasted good. I had the chicken parm sandwich with chips. The meat was good, but on a dry bun with a piece of lettuce. The appetizer of chicken wings was very good. The two stars are all for the food! The night we were there was a huge let down! Had to ask for forks, loud and jam packed space where our table was shoved to the side, and non working soda leaving nothing non-alcoholic to drink! When I ordered a virgin daiquiri after 3 failed attempts at soda or lemonade they kept apologizing but then had the nerve to charge me full cost for it all. The food is good. I have a problem with your very limited menu. Wish you offered some sandwiches and lighter selections at night. You offer lots of big, heavy meals, but most of us dont want all that in summer. I would appreciate you expanding your sandwiches at night. You currently only have 3 on your menu. Hence I give you a lower rating. Always feel like there is nothing to pick from when I come there, unless you want a heavy meal. You feature more appetizers then you do sandwiches.
