The wings are fabulous tasting. A little more moist and they'd be the best! I love the 6 Foot Blonde.
Mixed bag with the end result being more positive than not. They actually let me check in for a table as a single (kudos). The restaurant is very small and very loud (non-kudos). The beer selection is varried and broad (kudos). The salmon with crab was stupendous! (Major kudos) even though the bartender thought they were out (major heart skip-non judo but with a decent recovery)
Came to Bloomington to visit my son at IU and had lunch here. I had the Crab Cocktail. It was a delicious take on Crab Ceviche! It was a bit pricey, and could have been served with crackers or maybe the truffle chips (which my husband shared with me from his dish, which were also delicious.... truffle was not very overpowering). Otherwise, it was tasty, service was excellent, the setting was in a nicely converted house to a restaurant.... sat next to the fireplace that kept us warm.
Great food, beer, and atmosphere! Had a wonderful time after the bucket game this past weekend! The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the fact that there was no changing table in the restroom, which is a must for a family friendly restaurant. Not to mention, there's plenty of room for one in the women's restroom at the very least (can't speak for the men's restroom)!
The Busted Knuckle Bourbon barrel beer is truly the best microbrew I've tasted! Pretzels with the beer cheese, highly recommended. Also, the hamburger with bacon and smoked pulled pork with smoked Gouda cheese was amazing!! We love this placed. We love going to Big Woods in Nashville too!
The wings keep us coming back along with the Six Foot Blonde. Service was friendly but slow. Staff was accommodating with switching this for games AND did I mention the wings????
