A blast – Been there several times and it's completely worth the hype. Good drinks at a good price, awesome DJ, and laid back peeps. Love this spot.
Best spot in Miami – Purdy Lounge is hands down the best spot in Miami. It's laidback lounge vibe is like nothing else on the beach. Whenever friends come in town I always bring them to Purdy. Its not like the typical pretentious Miami Beach club. The staff is super friendly and engaging. When they're not busy they actually talk to the customers (unlike some places). NEVER going back – Last night my friends and I went to Purdy Lounge. My wealthy best friend bought drinks all night. At the end of the night, the total was over $250, and upon paying the tab, his credit card declined (he just bought a huge TV that day). After his card declined, he needed to walk to the nearest ATM, so we stayed at the bar and waited for him to come back. fun – great place to wine and dine your girl to a magnificent evening. the prices for the drinks are not that bad as well.
Purdy is the Bomb – This place has strong drinks, great shots and a great place to hang and have fun. What it isn't is South Beach BS or attitude, pick and choose by an obnoxious doorman. You will get in, the sound system is great, their is a DJ most nights and you will have fun. I work here and the Purdy has been open since 2000 and yeh it is cold early, you have to be cause when it gets packed we want it comfortable. but there is no F'n way somebody got a drink with No VODKA. No Way that dude most be a competitor.
Meh – Not a huge fan of this place. Have been dragged there by local friends a few times who love the laid-back feel. I don't know about you, but when I go out in Miami, I want to feel like I'm in the middle of the action, not in a neighborhood hole in the wall. This place is smallish, and if you want laid-back, by all means, but I can't figure out why anyone would pick this place of all places to go. The last two times I've gone in the summer, the A/C has been so cold, I wanted a parka. Not happening.
Avoid that bar! – Bad experience. I went to Purdy lounge bar for a relaxing night with my nephew an niece but I ended in a embarrassing situation. We ordered a "cranberry vodka drink" and maybe for a mistake, the bartender forgot to add vodka. That's ok, mistakes happen, I just tried to be polite and ask for a new drink right after the first sip but instead to get a new one I got totally mistreated. On top of that I had to pay $8.00 for a glass of a crappy cranberry juice and a lot of ice. Frustrating.
All time favorite!! Purdy was my favorite club for years! I celebrated plenty of birthdays there because no matter what you always had a great time. The music was awesome, the drinks are reasonably priced and give you a great serving. Cozy Local Hang – It flies a little under the radar and may not be the most well known street in South Beach but the place is a nice little place to hang. Plenty of couches, the staff is super friendly, and they have always had great music. The drinks are affordable and there is decent room to dance in the two rooms.
