Folks and I went to Tombstone's Wyatt Earp Days and was told about Puny John's BBQ and I have seen some great reviews on Facebook. What made us choose was the wonderful BBQ was the smell coming up the street. We walked down and saw tables and chairs for outside sitting and was looking at the door which said Closed but the owner open up for us (we were a minute or two before it was to open) the owner explains to us all about his BBQ. RecommendedI had ribs, pulled chicken and sausage. All great and none in need of sauce. Sauces were pretty good but a bit runny. I like a thick sauce with a bit more sweetness. Baked beans are perfect. Mac & cheese also great. Agree with another reviewer regarding cups...either a bigger size or offer one refill. Did I already say the baked beans were perfect???? My husband ordered the brisket sandwich and I had a bite. Also great!
We have to say this is one of the best ribs and pulled pork we have ever had , And your barbecue sauce is awesome I know your business will be around for a long time . Tried almost everything! Brisket, sausage, ribs, coleslaw, potato salad, beans. All were great. Best barbeque i've had in Arizona except what I've cooked myself. Congratulations to a Q joint that actually knows what Q is supposed to be. Fantastic!!!
Great food had brisket sandwhich which did not have tons of fat . The prickly pear sauce was my favorite. Staff is friendly. Very clean bathrooms. But most importantly was the taste it was not dry. Good coleslaw too . Prices were where they should be.
