Please note, that while my newer home, less than 10 years old, "was lifting on the right side" , per Pulte's 4 engineers they sent out to assess my home, (after 4 month's of begging), never honored their 10 year Structural Warranty, and even tried to Blame me, I lost my entire $230,000.00 cash I had paid off on the house. I had contacted them a number of times, noticing the changes in the home, and was told, "It's the homeowner's responsibility to repair settling concerns", when they Finally showed up to assess, after many a... read more

Business response:

Better Business Bureau, thank you for making us aware of this review. This home was constructed in 2002 and came with a two year warranty. Per our records, ****** ********* was a resale buyer who purchased the house in 2004, after the warranty was expired. ****** ********* has not owned the home for six years as she transferred ownership of the house to another party in 2012. Pulte considers the matter closed.

I have tried putting in several claims in regards to two items in my house. In order for a local manager to get ahold of me, I had to go into the Pulte office in my neighborhood and ask them to email my rep. From that initial conversation, it has still taken a significant amount of time to get someone to come back out and do repairs.

Business response:

Representatives from Pulte Homes of Indiana have been in contact with this customer and given direction on how to correct the two electrical concerns with the GFI outlet on the exterior and the range hood light fixture. The electrical contractor responsible for this customers home has also been trying to reach this customer to set up an appointment. We would ask the customer to reach out to the electrical contractor to get on their schedule. Thank you.

I am a very upset customer that needs this issue resolved as soon as possible. I reported that my main water line had a leak this past Saturday 6/2/2018, to where the water had to be shut off at the main. A maintenance person sent by Pulte came out and bypassed the main so that I would have water the same day and I am very thankful for that. Yesterday (6/4/2018) the plumbers were sent to complete the warranty work however, deemed the leak not covered under warranty. These plumbers claim that there was a "repair" made using ... read more

Business response:

I would urge anyone to avoid Pulte. We built a new $600k home in the IslandWalk subdivision outside Venice, Fl. In my experience, Pulte tries to steer all home related needs - mortgage, closing and title and insurance to Pulte affiliated subsidiaries. These subsidiaries offer much worse pricing and service than can be found on the open market with little effort. In my case, Pulte Mortgage repeatedly violated federal law by failing to provide timely revised Loan Estimates, provided a "final loan approval" which they subseque... read more

Separations in the joints of the hardwood finishes noted within 12 to 18 months of purchasing our home in Cary, North Carolina. Putty patching material was placed into some of the separations and the separations have continued to widen. The separations extended through the living room, foyer, and dining room. Separations were also noted extending through the kitchen, family room, and the bedroom. The floor surface was checked with 48-inch bubble level. Separations ranges from 1/8 to 5/17 inch. The garage slab has tooled shr... read more

Buyer's BEWARE!!! Don't trust anything anyone says from Pulte. Make sure you get everything in writing. Before we purchased the home, we asked to make sure the hill behind our home (which requires a lot of maintenance) would be handled by HOA and the Pulte's employee said yes, so we went ahead and we purchased the home. After we purchased the home, we called HOA to tell them that they need to take care of it, they told us it was the homeowners responsibility. When I talked to a few neighbors, they said they were told the sam... read more

I would avoid Pulte Homes with every effort. I know there is always a degree of frustration with building a house, however, our experience has been like 5 months of dealing with a cheap, used car dealer. The house is getting ready for pre-drywall inspection (was supposed to be first week of October), we have been dealing with large cracks in the block, they put one of the lag bolts through the main sewage drain in the foundation. They broke up the several feet of the foundation in that spot and then another few feet in an ad... read more

We moved a year and a half ago after living in a townhome for 13 years with no maintenance issues besides changing batteries in smoke alarms and putting freon gas in the A/C and the fridge. Not happy with Pulte and I kept a journal of all the problems encountered through the sales process, construction and issues after closing. They were resolved more or less. However, we came home one night and found our garage flooded and the water heater spraying from the copper coupling. We called the number on the water heater which was... read more

I (Elvin F*****) have reached out to the *******s to discuss their request for $80 reimbursement. My understanding was that there was a difference of $4 to their utility bills when comparing several months of bills. While we typically do not offer reimbursement for utility bills, we do look at each case individually and make a determination. While I am not committing to an $80 reimbursement, if the customer is able to show they experienced an increase to their utility expenses as a result of the subsequent water leaks they e... read more
